NIA, Under a new administration |
|
A sectoral briefing for the new
Administrator Proceso T. Domingo was
conducted on the 1st and 2nd week of February 2005 at its sector’s conference
room with the Sector Head, Department Managers, Project Managers and Division
Managers as the presentors. Aimed to orient and brief the
Administrator, the presentations cover different subjects outlined by the
Corporate Planning Staff as to organization, ongoing activities/projects and
status, plans and programs, issues and concerns, recommendations and expectations
from the new management. Administrator
Domingo who is “so familiar and knows exactly what is going on” showed encouragement and quick response to
various problems encountered by the sector concerned. According to PTD, what
is important is how we can move on and share insights as to how we can
fulfill all our duties and functions for a smooth system operations within
the Agency. Despite the limited budget for this year, the Administrator is
encouraged by the NIA’s seemingly new found resolve in getting things moving.
He hoped that NIA may finally be making significant progress in its reform
program. |

The sectoral briefing has been
scheduled for each sector starting with the Office of the Administrator,
Deputy Administrator, Project Development and Implementation, Systems
Operation and Equipment Management, Finance and Management and Administrative
Services. The newly installed administrator
assured all the departments of the necessary support they need in performing their duties and
functions at its best. He promised to continuously make National Irrigation
Administration the purveyor of Agricultural Development. |
